On October 11, 2017, ASWD Partner Lee Metzger served as one of the featured speakers for the Cincinnati Paralegal Association (“CPA”).  The CPA had recently polled its members asking what topics they would like to learn more about, and the overwhelming response was “discovery.”  Mr. Metzger was invited to speak on this topic due to his substantial litigation experience in the state and federal courts in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana, and his vast knowledge of the distinctions among the discovery rules in these jurisdictions.  In an insightful, engaging, and often-humorous presentation, he explained the nuances of the discovery rules and offered tips to the CPA on how to effectively draft and answer discovery requests to add value for their firms’ clients in civil cases.
