Congratulations to Mary Ann Stewart and Claire Parsons for securing dismissal of all federal claims asserted against the Boone County School District and its administrators, and establishing recognized legal precedent to be cited by Courts throughout the country. This case, Horton v. Boone County School District, et. al., recently gained national attention through its publication and distribution in the leading school law case reporter (See link below). The decision and its utilization of the exhaustion doctrine is significant in that it creates a powerful protection for School Districts and their employees from being subjected to lawsuits years after a student has left the school system.
