Adams Stepner Attorneys Attend National Government Liabilty and Civil Rights Seminar
Jeffrey C. Mando and Claire E. Parsons, attorneys in the Firm’s Business Litigation and Local Government practice groups, sharpened their skills this week at DRI’s Government Liability and Civil Rights Seminar in Nashville, Tennessee. Jeff and Claire were among a panel of attendees who partner with the Kentucky League of Cities in representing local governments and their officials in various types of litigation. Speakers at the seminar include, Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, a renowned expert on Constitutional law; Karen Blum, a law professor at Suffolk University and an authority on qualified immunity and topics ranged from complex issues involving government entities, such as the rights of transgender persons to accommodations in public entities, and the evidentiary and practical issues created by the use of police body cameras. Jeff and Claire are both active members of DRI and sit on the Board of its state level affiliate, Kentucky Defense Counsel, Inc.
